From colombia with love
Our handcrafted pieces have been carefully woven by female members of the indigenous Kankuamo tribe in Colombia, using fique grass a natural fiber obtained from a local plant.
They are called «Mochilas» or «Pensamientos». The word «Pensamiento» means thoughts, signifying it is the thoughts the women have whilst they weave. Most of them take 10-20 days to be created, while preparing raw material, spinning, dyeing the fiber with natural plants, weaving and then decorating.
We use 24k gold-plated bronze and nickel hardware.
